Orchard View Farm is a family run farm located in the local area of Aylesbury, within the beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside. The farms passion and primary focus is to support rare and traditional animal breeds through high level animal husbandry. Accompanied with the running of several accompanying ventures within the farm, including the farm shop, café, butchery and campsite.
The farm has radically changed since Jim and Helen Mackellar purchased the property in 2009. The simple open field provided a blank canvas on which the couple were able to establish a farm that is built on their core values and principles. Inside the farm is a wide selection of local produce within the various establishments. With a focus on their own meat and local produce, the farm aims to provide the best of Buckinghamshire for everyone.
There is a glamping site with luxury bell tents and great food on the camp sites door step. Wake up with the view of the sun rising over the Chiltern Hills while listening to the distant murmur of sheep, pigs and deer during your camping stay at Orchard View Farm. The campsite on the farm is a scenic spot 15 minutes’ drive from Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire.
Courtesy of the sites fantastically stocked farm shop and deli or by dining at the Trough Garden Kitchen the guests are blessed with plenty of delicious food options. This cafe and restaurant serves up a range of meals, including those made from ingredients sourced at the sites award-winning butchery and cooked in wood burning ovens. Alongside our regular tent pitches there are a set of luxurious glamping tents. These tents are ideal for those that just want to jump in the car for an adventure, without the hassle of packing all the usual camping gear.
Trough café, located on the farm, offers gourmet home-cooked meals six days a week. With fresh organic produce and everything prepared for order the food does not disappoint! The carefully crafted menu reflects the local produce on offer such as, award winning sausages and bacon from the butchery. The setting in the café has a warm rustic feel that is perfect for a weekend day out with the family. The butchery provides a wide selection of local produce, including award winning meat and a wide selection of local cheeses. The Butchery is proud to currently hold numerous Gold, Silver and Bronze British Sausage Week Awards and as well as a ‘Best Sausage in London and the South East’ prize for its innovative range of sausages. The butchery prides itself on its top quality meat that is hand-picked from local suppliers and famers.
