The Biscuit Factory is Newcastle’s independent art gallery, situated within the cultural quarter of the city, the gallery houses art from both local and national artists.

Founded in 2002 and located within a former Victorian biscuit manufacturing warehouse, the art gallery exhibits art from amateur and established artists alike, showcasing the work of around 250 artists at a time.

The art housed at The Biscuit Factory includes original paintings, handmade prints, glass, ceramics, textiles, photography, furniture, homeware and jewellery.

Over the year, The Biscuit Factory welcomes around 50,000 visitors from the local area, and from across the globe. Each year, The Biscuit Factory hosts four seasonal exhibitions which feature work from over 200 artists and offer free admission, helping to promote and support the local and national artists involved in the gallery.

The Factory Kitchen Café, based within The Biscuit Factory boasts an all-day café offering brunch, lunch and coffee menus, making your visit complete. 

There is also the Artisan Social Space, an artistically designed restaurant, available for parties and events. The Artisan Social Space creates and sources some of the finest foods in the North East of England, within the creative and artistic surroundings.

Along with the Artisan Social Space, which is available for hire, you can also host your wedding at The Biscuit Factory. The venue and location are perfect for intimate wedding ceremonies and receptions, in a unique and interesting event space.
