Telford’s Exotic Zoo is a popular tourist attraction in the heart of Shropshire. Established in 2017, its collection of exotic animals, including meerkats, a variety of armadillos, and extensive collections of reptiles, amphibians, birds, mammals, mini beasts and domestic animals, all housed in extensive, family-friendly settings for the comfort of the animals and people alike.
Exotic Zoo’s Education Centre is not open to the public but instead works with local schools, colleges and education providers to offer unique animal and environment educational workshops. It is the home to animal management courses for higher education students as well as working with the local council running workshops for NEATS, travel to learn and other working outside the classroom projects.
We also pride ourselves on offering animal assisted therapy and interventions through care providers to children and adults with learning difficulties, the elderly, as well as a whole host of other hard to reach groups in and around the area.
As well as the animal display, there are options for getting even closer to the animals. The staff are great entertainers as well as animal experts, let them bring along some of our super friendly critters to make your children’s party unforgettable.
A standard party is an hour sit down show where you will learn all about the animals who live at Exotic Zoo and help us educate and raise awareness for the animal kingdom. It’s very hands on so be prepared to get closer than ever before to your favourite animals.
Other options are available as we always like to tailor the experience to your needs.
They also do exciting and educational displays for fetes, fun days and other events. You’ll probably find that the kids are familiar with the Managing Director Scott as he is frequently on TV, appearing on many shows, including being Blue Peter’s Animal Man!
