About Penn
Just north of the M40 just west of Greater London, the village and parish of Penn is on a promontory, a small raised area of land in the midst of the Chiltern Hills. Due to its proximity to the capital as well as strong transport routes, the village is now popular with commuters, providing a quieter rural setting but still accessible via car. There are train stations at neighbouring High Wycombe, Amersham and Beaconsfield.
The parish of Penn has an area covering just under 4,000 acres, which includes Penn village as well as the hamlets of Penn Street, Knotty Green, Forty Green and Winchmore Hill. The hamlet of Penn Street is the site of the annual PennFest music festival, a family-friendly event that offers a diverse selection of musical artists, workshops and activities.
