About Townsend
Located to the north of Bournemouth, just between the A338 and the River Stour, the suburb of Townsend was primarily built during the 1970s as the seaside resort continued to grow in popularity.
Close to the Royal Bournemouth Hospital, Townsend is also the site of the Castlepoint Shopping Centre, a 41-acre site home to around 40 retail outlets.
