About Finningley

Home to the international airport known as Doncaster Sheffield (formerly Robin Hood), the village of Finningley is an otherwise rural setting in the heart of South Yorkshire. The airport is built on the site of the former RAF Finningley, operational throughout much of the 20^th century as a base for bombers and aircrew training.
