Window designs vary greatly in Sindlesham and the wider Wokingham area, so the flexibility of individually crafted shutters is essential. As they are made-to-measure, shutters can be designed to fit practically any size and shape of window. They allow you maximum light control and offer an additional layer of insulation.

Shutters are an eye-catching addition to home, increasing your property’s kerb appeal and also providing a higher level of privacy from prying eyes. A room darkening blind can also be added as part of our Shutter and Shade product, that provides nearly 100% blackout and thereby creates a perfect sleep environment no matter what the time of day.

No matter what colour, material, configuration or size, we can find a shutter solution that we know you’ll love for years to come. There is an array of solid paint colours and wood stains to choose from, shape options including arches and triangles, and Shuttercraft is also pleased to offer a custom colour option that allows you to match the tones of your interior designs.

Alongside our shutters, we supply a good selection of complementary blinds, offering solutions for skylights, hard to reach areas and even special shapes. Why not contact us today to book your free survey and find out how we can help you breathe new life into your home designs?

About Sindlesham

The village of Sindlesham has grown up around the original estate created for workers for the Bearwood estate. It was a 19th century manor house created for John Walter, proprietor of the Times newspaper, and grandson of its founder (also called John Walter) and was an MP in the House of Commons at various points throughout the Victorian era. The village pub is still named in his honour as The Walter Arms.

With the M4 motorway acting as the village’s north border, Sindlesham is also close to the River Loddon as it snakes its way past Reading to meet the Thames just north of the town. The village is joined to neighbouring Winnersh by the B3030 King Street Lane, which runs underneath the motorway and provides access to the local train station.

As a constructed village in the middle of a number of areas, Sindlesham is home to a number of facilities and places named after nearby locations. For example, the Winnersh Community Centre is located in the village centre, the parish church and school are named after the Bearwood estate, and Wokingham’s Tennis and Cricket clubs are located just off of Sadlers End.

Sindlesham Court is a Grade II listed building, constructed in the late 18th century, that was originally known as Sindlesham Lodge. Once owned by a relative of famed socialite Lady Asquith, the property was used during the Second World War for training female members of the RAF. It now operates as a multi-functional venue for private hire and weddings.
