The Bucks Goat Centre is a perfect day out for the family! It is located within Aylesbury on Lay by farm. It is a great way to spend the day outdoors, surrounded by animals and nature. The farm has lots of activities to keep the family entertained for hours. It is a friendly environment where the kids are able to meet and pet the variety of animals in a safe and relaxed setting.

As a petting farm there are animal handling sessions daily. The kids are welcomed to get involved so that they can have friendly introductions with all of the animals. With well trained staff it is the perfect environment for children to meet different animals, including chicks, guinea pigs and rabbits. Depending on the season there may also be calves and lambs that the kids can bottle feed, which is always a favourite!

Bucks Goat Centre in Aylesbury is a popular local farm which was founded in 1991 by Michael Gaisford, and is currently owned by his daughter, Ruth. It is a well-known attraction within the local area where families are able to meet and feed clean and friendly farm animals in a child-friendly environment.

The farm is a good size, small but enough to do to keep the kids occupied for a couple of hours. Although small, there is a variety of animals to see and learn about from the friendly and knowledgeable team members. Within the centre you’ll be able to see sheep, pigs, cows, llamas and a donkey, as well as of course, goats.

There are plenty of lovely goats to meet, these include Bambi, who was born on Valentine’s Day 2014 and is extremely friendly because she had to be bottle fed. She is a very friendly goat and loves to meet everyone.

When visiting on the day you are welcome to bring a picnic and use one of the many benches. It is especially lovely in the warner months as you can make a real day of it! There is also a small play area to keep the kids busy, which includes a sand pit and a trampoline.

The Centre prides itself with a team of healthy, friendly animals cared for by enthusiastic and knowledgeable members of the Bucks Goat Centre team. Offering animal encounters, mini farmer clubs and an array of different activities over the school holidays. The centres aim is to enrich and educate their visitors within a safe, accessible environment.

You may find the team out and about within the community bringing some of the animals to local events, schools, weddings and residential homes. The centre is a big part of the local community and does what it can to get involved.
