Jimmy’s Farm and Wildlife Park is a day out for all the family, located south of Ipswich, just outside Wherstead. It started as a livestock farm in 2002 and has now expanded into an outdoor attraction featuring play areas, a butterfly house, outback safari and restaurant.

In the Wonder Woods, visitors can experience a walk-through time, build their own woodland dens or just enjoy a relaxing coffee. The butterfly house contains a huge variety of flowering plants and dozens of different butterflies flying freely around you. There is also a reptile house and aviary. The outback safari is home to wallabies and emus.

If you want to get hands-on with the animals, you can! Jimmy’s Farm & Wildlife Park offers up close animal experiences. You can spend time in the enclosure with the animals, feeding, grooming and providing enrichment for them.

Education is a key part of what Jimmy’s Farm is all about. As such, they provide educational programmes tailored to specific age groups. Led by the experienced and trained farm staff, they share their knowledge of the environment and farm life with passion and interest.

After all that outdoor fun, you can refuel with a meal at Jimmy’s Farm restaurant. Voted Suffolk’s best restaurant by Bookatable in 2016, the restaurant offers an award-winning dining experience in a restored, 200-year-old barn.

The food is all local and home grown. The resident chefs provide a seasonal menu that includes breakfast, lunch and dinner options.

If you want to take the taste home with you, visit the farm shop. There, you will find a wide selection of condiments, locally sourced ingredients and Jimmy’s Farm souvenirs. As a working farm, there is also an on-site butcher, which offers a selection of sausages and bacon.
