Whatever shape or style you may be considering, adding a layer to the windows when closed, shutters are great for additional insulation. That makes them an energy-efficient choice when it comes to the home, helping it stay a little warmer in the winter and a little cooler when needed in the summer.

As a louvred window covering, they’re a versatile choice for the home that helps you maximise privacy and light control. Shutters will also provide additional kerb appeal for your property and, as a semi-permanent addition to the space, will also add value to the building should you be thinking about selling.

At Shuttercraft, we can supply and fit quality shutters and plantation blinds at competitive prices based on your design ideas and requirements. We only fit products that are custom crafted, so you can rest assured that even if you have a special shape window, for example, in an arch or triangle, we can supply a solution that will fit the space perfectly.

The ABS Java range of shutters that we offer is completely waterproof, making it a fantastic choice for areas with increased levels of dampness, such as kitchens and bathrooms.

Every shutter and blind we supply is individually crafted, made just for you based on your design choices and our experienced and accurate measurements. Get in touch with us at Shuttercraft and book your free home appointment today.

About Edenthorpe

Mentioned in the 1086 Domesday Book as the manor house of Stirestrop, the village name has changed many times over the years, gaining the prefix ‘Eden’ due to the land-owning Eden family that lived there in the 1920s. Lord Auckland, also a member of the Eden family, moved to the manor at the end of the 19th century and renamed the estate.

The Church of the Good Shepherd, just off of Church Balk road, is part of a local group of Anglican churches that is based in Kirk Sandall, the adjoining village just north of Edenthorpe. The late 20th-century building is relatively unconventional for a small historical area, as many similarly aged settlements in the area have much older places of worship. The Church of the Good Shepherd still features a number of vivid stained glass windows.

Edenthorpe, like its neighbour Kirk Sandall, is bordered to the west by the mighty River Don, the thriving river that runs through the heart of the South Yorkshire area, particularly in the centre of Doncaster. The A18 road runs through the village
