Spetchley WR5 1RS

Spetchley Park Gardens is the home of the Berkeley family and has been for over 400 years. The gardens are home to a variety of rare plants, trees and shrubs which originate from all over the world.

Only three miles from the centre of Worcester, Spetchley Park Gardens is conveniently situated, making it the perfect day trip from the Cotswolds, the Malverns and Worcester itself.

The estate has been under re-development over the last few years, to help restore elements of the Berkeley home and grounds, and making the gardens more accessible and beneficial to local communities.

Phase 1 was completed in 2015 and involved creating a new entrance to the gardens, a new car park and the welcome centre. Phase 2 was more focused on improvements to the heritage within the gardens.

When planning your visit to the gardens, it’s worth having a look to see what events are happening, as there are weekly and monthly activities for all the family.

If you are a keen gardener, you can join one of the monthly free garden tours, which lasts around 1 hour, or take the kids to one of the gardens Wildlife Wednesday events, where children are able to learn about insects and bugs, and participate in crafts and workshops.

There are plenty of activities for everyone, with regular special events, such as the Wheels on Wednesday meet up’s for car and bike enthusiasts.

If you are more into relaxing than revving, there are plenty of other events happening at the gardens, such as regular yoga classes, and other events such as photography exhibitions.

If you are visiting Spetchley Park Gardens, you can also visit the tea rooms which offer a traditional afternoon tea and a range of lunchtime food options to make your visit complete.
