Discover premium internal shutters in Wrexham

Stylish window shutters, sometimes called plantation blinds, are growing in popularity in the Wrexham area as they suit a wide range of home interiors. Easy to clean and maintain, great for light control, and providing additional privacy for your property, shutters are a fantastic choice for homeowners, no matter what kind of design transformation you’re looking to achieve.

As well as providing both style and elegance, shutters also give a new level of kerb appeal to any property, helping make a feature of your windows, and making you the envy of your neighbours. There is a good selection of standard colours to choose from, or wood stains if you’d prefer, and we also have a custom colour option to help you get exactly the right shade to match an existing colour palette in your space.

When closed, premium plantation-style shutters will add a layer of insulation to your windows, helping keep your Wrexham home warmer in the winter or cooler during warmer summer months. For bedrooms or living rooms, you may also want to think about our optional Shutter and Shade product, which adds a honeycomb blind into the shutter frame, providing a near 100% blackout when closed and increasing the insulation even further!

As well as windows, they can also be used for covering patio doors, in place of room dividers or as an alternative to bespoke wardrobe doors.

At Shuttercraft, we provide a wide range of premium window coverings that utilise sustainably sourced materials, such as beautiful hardwood, popular MDF and waterproof ABS. Get in touch today and discover some of the best window shutters Wrexham has to offer.

About Wrexham

On the site of some of the earliest human settlements in the UK (dating from the Mesolithic era), the Welsh town of Wrexham has long provided a key site of interaction between England and Wales. By the 20th century, Wrexham was one of the main sites of coal production in the UK, with one of the worst mining disasters happening at Gresford Colliery in 1934.

Wrexham has long had an association with the arts, with a company of actors from the town being recorded as appearing as touring players in Shrewsbury in Henry VIII’s reign. It was also referenced (as Rixhim) in the 1647 play “The Pilgrim”. The town has hosted the National Eisteddfod numerous times, there are several live music venues, a studio for BBC Cymru Wales and Ty Pawb, and a unique combination of art space, shops, an events venue and a museum.

Today, Wrexham serves north Wales and the Welsh borderlands as a centre for manufacturing, retail, education and administration. Former footballer turned manager Robbie Savage was born in Wrexham, as was Blue Peter

In 2020, in a very unexpected turn of events, Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney bought out the ailing town football club. It has been the start of a turnaround for the Welsh town, as in 2022, it was confirmed that it would be granted city status, making it the 7th settlement in Wales to be a city.
