Sandy Lane Oxford Stadium, Cowley, Oxford OX4 6LJ
Karting Oxford is a 360m go-kart circuit, part of the Oxford Speedway and Greyhound Stadium complex. It is a popular destination for parties and speed lovers alike.
Karting Oxford offers an “Arrive and Drive” service, as well as taking party bookings. “Arrive and Drive” is great for singles and couples. You can just turn up, put on a helmet and drive. Rather than races, you participate in time trials, trying to beat your personal best.
Groups can choose from a range of race options including:
- Elite Grand Prix
- Endurance Races
- Mini Grand Prix
- Sprint Races
Prices vary, depending on which package you choose. For corporate events and wedding parties, you can book the whole track out exclusively. Kids from age 8 can participate at Oxford Karting. They are equipped with full safety gear so they can have fun without you having to worry.
Helmets and race suits are provided as standard. Well maintained Sodi Karts provide the speed, while the circuit’s layout provides the thrills. The circuit includes a mixture of long straights and tight chicanes, designed to challenge drivers of any ability.
A computerised lap timing system allows you to easy check your performance and what you need to improve on. Unlike other karting circuits, Oxford’s is set within a stadium. This gives spectators an ideal view of the action, as well as comfy seats.
Despite being an outdoor circuit, Oxford Karting runs rain or shine. This can add an extra element of thrill if you are racing on a rain-slick track!
The Karting circuit is part of the Oxford Speedway and Greyhound Stadium complex. The stadium is located just off the B480 Watlington Road on the south side of Oxford. A good bus service operates from Oxford railway station via the city centre.
