Located just north of the city of York are the Web Adventure Park, a popular family attraction and the perfect spot for children to delve into the extensive play areas and make new friends whilst adults catch a much-needed breather.
There is fun to be had both indoors and out, and there is also a licensed café that serves fresh food all day. There is a menu put together for children too, which includes something for all tastes, meaning that families can hopefully go home happy, stress-free and well-fed!
Inside the Park is a sizeable soft play area, with a tremendous Astro slide and climbing frames. There is also a ‘role play village’ known as Buggington, which has a range of dressing-up costumes, exciting ball cannons, a football arena, a disco as well as play areas just for the under 5’s and babies. There is a more recent addition in the Ninja/Obstacle course for the older children, which was new for 2021.
Outdoors there are landscaped gardens that include a range of climbing frames, sandpits and a water play area. Throughout summer there are usually hammocks hanging around, and there is now an Animal Park onsite which is home to goats, micro pigs, chipmunks, rabbits and guinea pigs. For the more adventurous offspring, there are go-karts, quad bikes and a toddler track that provides pedal tri-bikes for smaller children. Adults are welcome to join in as much as they wish although the apparatus and facilities do lend themselves the smaller adult.
There is an onsite café at the Web Adventure Park that has a variety of delicious menus, with a range of catering options for toddlers, juniors and adults. As well as freshly cooked meals, there is also a selection of snacks, cakes and drinks served throughout the day. The experienced team of chefs concoct a great array of family food, from paninis, jacket potatoes, pizzas, salads and pasta dishes through to house specials meaning that there is always an option, no matter what your tastebuds may be craving continue reading.
In the summer of 2021, an all-inclusive mini theme park was added to the site and is open at peak times. There are rides for people of all types and ages, including the Apple Coaster, Pony Express, Helter-skelter, Miami, Double Carousel, Formula, Cups and Saucers, Bull Rides and Balloons! The Web also now includes a miniature golf course themed around Dinosaurs which offers a challenge for all visitors with a competitive streak.
As well as all of the indoor and outdoor play activities, the Web Adventure Park is also home to Wired High Ropes, a high-rise suspended course for those aged 7 up. There are over 20 challenges to conquer, providing high-rise thrills in a high-rise setting.
The Web Adventure Park is situated just off of the B1363 (Wigginton Road) just a few hundred yards off of the A1237 York Outer Ring Road, near Clifton Moor Retail Park. Next article
