Robinswood Hill Country Park is situated just south of Gloucester city in the beautiful county of Gloucestershire.
The country park is looked after by Gloucester City Council, and is hugely popular among the local residents and visitors alike. The Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust runs their head office from Robinswood Hill and look after the wildlife in the park and surrounding areas.
There are two-hundred and fifty acres of open countryside which make up the country park, boasting a stunning viewpoint, beautiful walks and an exciting nature trail. There is even a traditional orchard which has been revived and replanted to bring it back to life.
Robinswood Hill Country Park offers spectacular views of the surrounding areas, including the Severn Bridge, the Malvern Hills and the Black Mountains. The country park is a natural habitat for many animal and homes lots of wildlife such as badgers, foxes, birds and more!
This location is extremely popular with dog walkers and those with an interest in wildlife as it is well looked after and well located. The country park has a lot of flat pathways so is ideal for those wanting to enjoy a casual stroll, and there are also steep inclines for those more adventurous visitors!
The other side of the country park is home to a dry slope and golf course, and an area called Robin’s Wood Hill Quarry. The quarry is a Site of Special Scientific Interest. This is due to the fifty-four species of fossil molluscs and the geography which is a result of the Jurassic period.
