About Stroud
Set amid rolling hills and farmland, the market town of Stroud is in the county of Gloucestershire. It is less than 10 miles from Gloucester, 14 miles from Cheltenham and around 107 miles from London. The streets are steep and there is an intriguing statue called ‘The Ram’, by local artist Jamie Vans, at the top end of the High Street, where there once stood a well and a pump back in the 1700s.
