Opened in 2013, the Whitewall Galleries – based at DeMontfort House on Europa Way – gives people the chance to browse and buy a number of different contemporary artworks, also acting as a creative space for locals.

One of many, Whitewall Galleries Lichfield offers beautiful and innovative original paintings, collectable editions and sculptures. They offer work covering internationally acclaimed artists through to emerging talents and is one of a network of over 40 galleries.

The gallery prides itself on its wide-ranging portfolio, from bigger names in the art world, through to up and coming talents. Whitewall are constantly looking for new artists from around the world to add to their offering, and ensure the gallery remains a fresh, exciting and cutting-edge place to be.

Located by a roundabout of the A5192, Whitehall galleries are conveniently placed among one of several industrial estates around the Lichfield area. Trainlines run nearby and are served by the Lichfield Trent Valley railway station. The other side of Cappers Lane is home to Darnford Park, a mixture of woodland and open space that is also home to a local golf course and the disused Lichfield Canal.

You can also get to Whitewall Galleries Lichfield by Bus or Train. These are the lines and routes that have stops nearby – Bus: 822, X65 or Train: LONDON NORTH WESTERN.

With over 40 locations across the UK and a presence on a number of P&O cruise ships, the wider Whitewall organisation seeks to bring the finest artwork from around the world to a wide range of art lovers. Whitewall values individuality and quality, with more of an emphasis on contemporary art than more traditional works.

One of the contemporary artists featured at the Whitewall Galleries is northerner Barry Hilton, who draws inspiration from Northwest coastal regions, and uses vivid colours to heighten emotion from the viewer, painting imagined scenery rather than actual landscape.

Described once as “the face of modern British impressionism”, Sherree Valentine Daines is another of the artists featured at Whitewall Galleries Lichfield, also selling her work through DeMontfort Fine Art Ltd, the parent company of Whitewall, and also based in DeMontfort House.
