With different materials, colours, and stains available, we know the best type of window coverings to match the individual needs of our satisfied customers.

As a local company, Shuttercraft Glasgow understands how getting the right window coverings can make a visible difference in a wide variety of Kilmarnock properties. Each shutter is built from scratch rather than cut to size, making them the perfect solution for either bay windows or special shapes.

Shutters can provide light control and privacy while remaining one of the easiest window treatments to clean and maintain. Every finish receives several coats – either of paint or stain – as well as the protective final coat to limit the amount of fading that affects furniture caused by the sun.

We offer an array of different materials, such as waterproof ABS, polypropylene coated MDF and of course beautiful hardwood. Each has its own unique properties, and your local Shuttercraft will be able to advise on the best options to suit your décor.

The broad range of property styles makes window shutters the perfect way to help make the whole house a home, and at Shuttercraft we are more than happy to help you realise your vision.

About Kilmarnock

Perhaps best known for its football club, the oldest professional team in Scotland and a member of the Scottish Premier League, the historic burgh of Kilmarnock has been settled since at least the 7th century, when it is thought Saint Marnock founded a church there.

A town of relatively modest size, Kilmarnock underwent something of a population boom during the Industrial Revolution when it went through a period of sudden growth. Heavy manufacturing and goods-based services have historically made up the bulk of the local economy, with carpets and shawls made in Kilmarnock being sold and recognised internationally.

The famous Scotch whisky brand Johnnie Walker has been based in Kilmarnock since the mid-19th century when the son and grandson of former grocer John Walker started selling their own blend of the distilled drink following the Spirits Act of 1860. The brand is now owned by London-based manufacturer Diageo, who closed all Kilmarnock operations in 2012, ending a close association with the town of more than 140 years.

Biffy Clyro, one of the most famous Scottish rock bands of the 21st century, have a close association with Kilmarnock, as the Johnston brothers, Ben and James were both born in the town, joining forces with Ayr-born Simon Neil before moving to Glasgow. James Prime, keyboard player and founding member of Deacon Blue, was also born in the town.

Whatever the shape or size of your window or interior space, you can find a made-to-measure window shutter that is right for you. Book a free survey with our friendly staff and discover a local, great service in the local area.
